Questions you can bring

  • My child has difficulty with crawling, walking or other movement skills.
  • Balance, stairs or active play seem challenging.
  • I have questions about toe walking, a head tilt or positioning.
  • We need guidance about movement following an orthopedic concern.

What an evaluation can explore

An evaluation can consider movement, strength, balance and coordination, alongside relevant medical history and the activities your family wants to work on. Share what your child can already do, what they enjoy and where they need help. These observations give context to the therapist’s findings.

Movement through purposeful play

The therapist uses your child’s interests to guide movement activities tied to the goals set at the evaluation. We consider their sensory needs and how they are doing that day, adjusting the session to support participation. Our physical therapy gym and multimedia area offer different ways to work on movement and coordination.
