When Your Child Walks on Their Toes: What to Notice and When to Ask for Help
About this video
Toe walking can leave parents wondering what is typical and when to ask for help. Bryan from Sensory Bridge Pediatric Therapy explains what to notice: how often it happens, when it began, whether it affects one or both feet, whether the heels come down comfortably, and whether there is pain, falls, weakness, or a change in everyday activities.
Bring persistent toe walking up with your child’s pediatrician, especially after age two. Ask sooner about a new or one-sided pattern, discomfort, or difficulty with movement. Toe walking alone is not a diagnosis. This video is for education and cannot replace an individual evaluation.
